#16034: slime 20080404_0 doesn't install with case-sensitive filesystem ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Reporter: rwvtveer@gmail.com | Owner: evenson@panix.com Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Port Bugs Component: ports | Version: 1.6.0 Resolution: | Keywords: ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Comment (by rwvtveer@gmail.com): Case-sensitive filesystems are sensitive about character case in file and directory names. HFS+ is originally a case-insensitive filesystem but to be more compatible with other Unixes, Apple introduced the case- sensitivity option for HFS+ in OS X 10.3. The MS filesystems like FAT and NTFS are also case-insensitive. The default OS X desktop installation creates a case-insensitive HFS+ filesystem by default and, IIRC, the OS X server installation uses a case-sensitive HFS+ filesystem. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/16034#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
