FYI, these sort of open-ended queries really should go to one of the [[MailingLists|mailing lists]], not Trac. You’d get more discussion there because more devs subscribe to the lists than monitor the bug tracker. I see. I had thought they were the same thing.
Nope, Trac tickets aren’t sent to macports-users or macports-dev.
