#44014: nettle: error: openssl/ecdsa.h: No such file or directory -------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: jaitonys@… | Owner: ryandesign@… Type: defect | Status: assigned Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.0 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: nettle | -------------------------+-------------------------- Changes (by ryandesign@…): * status: new => assigned * owner: macports-tickets@… => ryandesign@… Comment: I hadn't previously realized that nettle used openssl, because it does not link with openssl's libraries, but it does appear to use its headers at build time. I can confirm that nettle fails to build on Mac OS X 10.5 when the openssl port is not installed. It builds fine on OS X 10.9 when the openssl port is not installed. So sometime between 10.5 and 10.9 the version of openssl included with the operating system must've gotten updated to a newer version. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/44014#comment:15> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
