#14750: Crash in freetype -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Reporter: guy.linton@gmail.com | Owner: ryandesign@macports.org Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Port Bugs Component: ports | Version: 1.6.0 Resolution: | Keywords: freetype crash "Bus error" gtk python -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Changes (by ryandesign@macports.org): * owner: macports-tickets@lists.macosforge.org => ryandesign@macports.org Comment: Can you please update your OS to the latest version? That's 10.4.11 plus the latest security update, QuickTime update, etc. I'm not exactly sure what to do with this bug, since I don't use python, gramps, or even a PowerPC Mac anymore. Could the crash be related to a corrupt font on your system? Can you give me a reproduction recipe for the problem -- what do I need to do on my system to cause the error to occur? Can you cause the error without using python? A [browser:trunk/dports/print/freetype/files/patch-modules.cfg.diff@23422 patch] does get applied to the freetype source when it's being built, but no patch files end up in /opt/local as a result. This is normal. If the gramps port is out of date, you should file a ticket requesting it be updated (if a ticket does not already exist for that request). If you can remember the specific dependency problems you encountered you should report these as separate bugs since they should be fixed as well. Having both MacPorts and Fink installed at the same time is not supported or recommended. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/14750#comment:1> MacPorts </projects/macports> Ports system for Mac OS
