#40220: File Labelling on Samba share ----------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: je1975@… | Owner: wsiegrist@… Type: request | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: server/hosting | Version: 2.2.0 Keywords: | Port: ----------------------------+------------------------- Hi, I'm running Samba 3.6.15 via Macports 2.2.0, got a query re: File Labelling. Our mac mini 10.8.4 server used to share via afp but we went over to macports/samba because of the well-documented disaster of Apple's ML Server app.[[BR]] File labelling is widely used to mark our files as, say, green=ok, red=do not use. However, changes made to the file labelling from the client end while logged in via smb do not show up when viewing the server itself.[[BR]] Can anyone advise where the label data is being stored & know how to export/migrate it? I gather in theory its due to the HFS+ attributes of the file but how does it look different when viewed from the client end compared to the server? -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/40220> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
