#49754: Error installing nco with variant gcc49 ----------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: thiagoveloso@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.4 Keywords: | Port: ----------------------------+-------------------------------- Today I tried to install nco using gcc49 and got the following error: {{{ thiago@nowhere:~$ sudo port install nco +gcc49 ---> Computing dependencies for nco ---> Fetching archive for nco ---> Attempting to fetch nco-4.5.3_0+accelerate+gcc49.darwin_15.x86_64.tbz2 from http://packages.macports.org/nco ---> Attempting to fetch nco-4.5.3_0+accelerate+gcc49.darwin_15.x86_64.tbz2 from http://lil.fr.packages.macports.org/nco ---> Attempting to fetch nco-4.5.3_0+accelerate+gcc49.darwin_15.x86_64.tbz2 from http://mse.uk.packages.macports.org/sites/packages.macports.org/nco ---> Fetching distfiles for nco ---> Attempting to fetch nco-4.5.3.tar.gz from https://github.com/nco/nco/tarball/4.5.3 ---> Verifying checksums for nco ---> Extracting nco ---> Applying patches to nco ---> Configuring nco ---> Building nco Error: org.macports.build for port nco returned: command execution failed Please see the log file for port nco for details: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_science_nco/nco/main.log To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide: http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets Error: Processing of port nco failed }}} I am installing this variant because I already had gcc 4.9 on my system, and I didn't see any reason to install a different version just because of nco. I made this decision because Installing gcc takes nearly three hours on my computer. Any advice? I am also attaching the error log to this ticket. My system is: Macbook Pro 16GB RAM El Capitan 10.10.1 Macports 2.3.4 XCode 7.1.1 Thanks in advance, Thiago. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/49754> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
