#21608: python24 universal x86_64/i386 fails on Snow Leopard -------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- Reporter: ryandesign@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.8.0 Keywords: | Port: python24 -------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- Comment(by blb@…): It's definitely not interesting in the sense that upstream isn't doing anything with < 2.6 these days (including good 64bit support, hence < 2.6 having issues on 10.6). Until 2.7, 2.6 should be the best python for compatibility since it doesn't drop anything like py3k does. I'm definitely all for removing all the old pythons once we can move things to 2.6 and/or 3.1. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/21608#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
