#50094: new ports: kf5-{libkomparediff2,kompare} --------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: rjvbertin@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: submission | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Port: | --------------------------+-------------------------------- Comment (by mk@…): A dedicated prefix sounds like the way to go, indeed! But it's probably requiring a lot of effort to get this done for all those ports around... From a user's point of view it would be more consistent to truly keep the coinstallability promise made for the underlying KDE4 and KF5 frameworks. There *compat variants seem to be a rather strange workaround... I saw somewhere that there's even a dylib being wiped to get both versions installed!! Perhaps you can come up with something which has a chance to be adopted by KDE's developers for inclusion in trunk?! I could imagine that they'd also want to achieve coinstallability for Linux as well... -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/50094#comment:1> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
