#40553: goffice @0.10.7 to 0.10.7_1 -------------------------+--------------------------------- Reporter: c.herbig@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: update | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.2.0 Resolution: | Keywords: haspatch maintainer Port: goffice | -------------------------+--------------------------------- Comment (by c.herbig@…): Replying to [comment:1 raimue@…]:
If I understand this patch correctly, goffice will still link against gtk-osx-application if it is installed, right? In this case, we definitely need to have it in depends_lib as otherwise there would be a dependency not recorded in the registry. The problem is that there seems to be no way of turning off gtk-osx- application support in the configure phase. Meanwhile, the goffice source looks for ige-mac-integration code instead. So, if gtk-osx-application happens to be installed on the system, and the user goes to install goffice, it needs to be patched to use the gtk-osx-application functions instead, not that they seem to actually do anything.
A better solution would be to try to convince the Gnumeric/Goffice devs to actually do something about it on their end: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=707251 -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/40553#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
