#20365: MySQL plist file creating unmanaged launchd jobs on boot --------------------------------+------------------------------------------- Reporter: conradwt@… | Owner: ryandesign@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.7.1 Keywords: | Port: mysql5 --------------------------------+------------------------------------------- Comment(by ryandesign@…): mysql5 is meant to be the client only. Thus it needn't have any launchd plist; there's nothing for it to start. mysql5-server is the server component and is there to start safe_mysqld. MacPorts always uses daemondo for startup items. If you want to discuss changing this, you should bring it up on the macports-dev mailing list. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20365#comment:5> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
