#43374: unable to upgrade gmp (and other ports) --------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: jeff@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.2.1 Keywords: | Port: --------------------+-------------------------------- I seem to be running into this on many ports when trying to upgrade them. The download takes a few hops to find a hit, then tries to install and fails on a missing /usr/bin/gnutar. This seems to have occurred after installing the latest XCode command-line tools. /usr/bin/gnutar no longer exists. selfupdate hasn't provided a fix. → sudo port clean --all gmp ---> Cleaning gmp jmhodges @ Jeffs-iMac: ~/projects → sudo port upgrade gmp ---> Fetching distfiles for gmp ---> Attempting to fetch gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2 from http://mirror.facebook.net/gnu/gnu/gmp ---> Attempting to fetch gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2 from http://sea.us.distfiles.macports.org/macports/distfiles/gmp ---> Attempting to fetch gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2 from http://ykf.ca.distfiles.macports.org/MacPorts/mpdistfiles/gmp ^[[A---> Attempting to fetch gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2 from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gmp ^R ---> Verifying checksums for gmp ---> Extracting gmp Error: org.macports.extract for port gmp returned: command execution failed Please see the log file for port gmp for details: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_gmp/gmp/main.log Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1 To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide: http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets jmhodges @ Jeffs-iMac: ~/projects -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/43374> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
