#45299: reduce-algebra does not find any packages -----------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: veedeehjay@… | Owner: mark.brethen@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.1 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: reduce-algebra | -----------------------------+---------------------------- Changes (by mf2k@…): * owner: macports-tickets@… => mark.brethen@… Old description:
I did a //port -s install reduce-algebra// (binary install is broken, see ticket https://trac.macports.org/ticket/34895) which completes without errors.
//opt/local/libexec/reduce-algebra/bin/redpsl// starts up and basic things work. but the (reduce) package loading mechanism fails, e.g.
//taylor(1/x,x,1,2);//
leads to the error message //***** error in loading package taylor or package not found //
I have searched around a bit and the problem might not be directly macports related but there seems to be no public mailing list for reduce. so maybe somebody around here can find a solution...
