#50968: playground : qt5-kde-devel @ Qt 5.6.0 -------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: rjvbertin@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: update | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: Keywords: | Port: qt5-kde-devel -------------------------+-------------------------------- Anyone interested in using the latest Qt release version? I've been spending around a week in getting my `qt5-kde-devel` port upgraded to Qt 5.6.0 and to my satisfaction. The deprecation and subsequent removal of QtWebKit made this more of a challenge than it should have been. A QtWebKit 5.6.0 "community release" does exist, but its packaging is incomplete. However, even after generating the missing files the component will not build for me as a subport (= not as `port install qt5-kde-devel- qtwebkit`) while the same sequence of commands completes successfully when invoked manually from the shell. The component does build though as part of a full/monolithic build like it's always been done, so for now that's what `qt5-kde-devel` does, grabbing the latest compatible qtwebkit sources via github's archive/snapshot feature. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/50968> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
