 With MacPorts-2.0.0-beta2-10.6-SnowLeopard, after a fresh install, I get a
 warning message about a missing macports user.  Are there additional
 install steps needed beyond what the installer does?

    Warning: configured user/group macports does not exist, will build as
 root
