#37659: [1] [2.1.2] configure failure: command execution fail -----------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: xboxwee@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2 Keywords: | Port: 1 -----------------------+-------------------------------- I am running Lion on my computer with Xcode 4.5.2 installed. I am trying to update MacPorts and Wine using this command: {{{sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade outdated}}} The {{{sudo port selfupdate}}} worked fine, but when it came to the {{{sudo port upgrade outdated}}} I got an error that look like the following: {{{ ---> Configuring xorg-libX11 Error: org.macports.configure for port xorg-libX11 returned: configure failure: command execution failed Please see the log file for port xorg-libX11 for details: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports .org_release_tarballs_ports_x11_xorg-libX11/xorg-libX11/main.log Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1 To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide: http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets }}} Then when that didn't work I tried this command line: {{{sudo port upgrade --force installed}}} and I got the same error. I am not sure what this error means, but I looked online and on the MacPorts website for answers and I could not find any. I have included the log file. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/37659> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

See wiki:FAQ#usrlocal. Please remove /usr/local, then "`sudo port clean xorg-libX11`", then try again. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/37659#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
