#25960: trying to install py26-pymvpa ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: eikceb@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: request | Status: new Priority: High | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.9.1 Keywords: py26-mvpa, gcc44 | Port: py26-mvpa, gcc44 ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- I have tried several times to install py26-mvpa. it fails at gcc44 build. I have tried uninstalling all ports, but cannot do that either. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/25960> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

What you provided shows no helpful details, so please attach the log. Note that you should not set the priority to high as that is reserved for the macports team and you should have cc'ed the maintainer (of gcc44 in this case). I decided to actually download it and look at it. Unfortunately it does not say anything useful except that gcc44 failed to build. As mentioned above, you need to attach the actual debug log which is mentioned in the minimal output you provided. What version of Mac OS X and Xcode are you running? -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/25960#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

You should do the following in a new terminal window {{{ sudo port clean gcc44 sudo port -d install gcc44 }}} If it fails again, attach the output as text. You can hit Command-S to save the output to a text file. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/25960#comment:5> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
