[MacPorts] #24714: gnuplot 4.2.5 : not interacting properly with aquaterm
#24714: gnuplot 4.2.5 : not interacting properly with aquaterm -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Reporter: mtd10@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.8.2 Keywords: gnuplot, aquaterm | Port: gnuplot -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- The previous version of gnuplot worked okay for me in conjunction with aquaterm, but the latest version has the following problem. When I try to plot a graph – eg via plot sin(x) – gnuplot launches aquaterm but does nothing else, and it hangs on the command line. I have two systems One is a macbook pro (2 years old), running OS X 10.6.3. The other is an imac (1 year old) running OS X 10.6.2. In both cases I refreshed all my installed ports completely, and in the case of the macbook I tried 2 fresh re-installs. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/24714> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

Originally I was hoping that maybe my laptop had developed an e-aversion to aquaterm that maybe I could track down, so I was well disappointed when installing on my imac to find I got the same behaviour. Solution was either a) setting the AQUATERM_PATH or b) removing a second Aquaterm that I installed into the Applications folder, and which seemingly was still 32bit. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/24714#comment:6> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
#24714: gnuplot 4.2.5 : not interacting properly with aquaterm ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: mtd10@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: closed Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.8.2 Resolution: wontfix | Keywords: Port: gnuplot | ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Changes (by jmr@…): * status: new => closed * resolution: => wontfix Comment: OK, so if the issue is multiple Aquaterms on the system, one of which has incompatible archs, then this is basically just a configuration problem which should be solved by setting AQUATERM_PATH. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/24714#comment:7> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
