[MacPorts] #13536: global install errors
#13536: global install errors ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Reporter: soupsnaz@hotmail.com | Owner: macports-dev@lists.macosforge.org Type: defect | Status: new Priority: High | Milestone: MacPorts 1.5 Component: ports | Version: 1.5.0 Keywords: leopard install errors | ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- I've tried possibly 20 different installations, once I got a partial installation on gnome-games that installed every dependency, however even that time around got the same old error for the main install. the following items did not execute (for $name) : org.macports.activate org.macports.build org.macports.destroot org.macports.install I had another friend go through the install and he got the same error, and ive been getting this with every app nearly every time. Does Leopard just not work? #13536: global install errors -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Reporter: soupsnaz@hotmail.com | Owner: macports-dev@lists.macosforge.org Type: defect | Status: new Priority: High | Milestone: MacPorts 1.5 Component: ports | Version: 1.5.0 Resolution: | Keywords: leopard install errors -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Comment (by ryandesign@macports.org): Sorry, I have not understood what software you're trying to install (the gnome-games port? or something else?) and what problem you're seeing (the build phase of some port did not complete, but why? What errors were shown above that?). I'm aware of Port Authority's existence but cannot vouch for its functionality, therefore please use the `port` command in the Terminal and show us exactly what command you executed (probably `sudo port install something`) and exactly what error output you got. You can search the issue tracker for "Leopard" and see the dozens of ports that are experiencing problems under Leopard. On the other hand, many other ports are working fine on Leopard. We'll just have to deal with the problems one by one as they're reported to us. So please give us all the information you can about the failure you're seeing. If you're still using MacPorts 1.5.0, you must update to 1.5.2 using `sudo port selfupdate`. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/projects/macports/ticket/13536#comment:1> MacPorts </projects/macports> Ports system for Mac OS

Take a look at our [http://geeklair.net/macports_guide/#project.tickets ticketing guidelines] for more information. Closing this ticket as invalid. -jmpp -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/13536#comment:2> MacPorts </projects/macports> Ports system for Mac OS
