As a bonus, it turns out that the gcc5 port is dated the day before the release of GCC 5.1 so one is an extremely close (or identical) approximation of the other. Either would be very helpful because the existing gcc5 port is the minimum gcc version required for using OpenCoarrays (http://www.opencoarrays.org), which requires an MPI library built with gcc5 or later.
