#26638: emacs and emacs-app fail to build on Snow Leopard ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: migmit@… | Owner: dports@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.9.1 Keywords: | Port: emacs, emacs-app ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Comment(by migmit@…): Yes, thanks, that was the problem. I've uninstalled everything, renamed /usr/local to local.bak and installed emacs without trouble. After that I've tried to install emacs-app, and failed with a segmentation fault again. On a hunch, I've uninstalled emacs, and the emacs-app installation went smoothly, and I was able to install emacs after it. Everything seems to be working now. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/26638#comment:8> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

We might need to consider the ports as conflicting, recommending users to install only one. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/26638#comment:9> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

The point is, they do conflict if you install emacs first. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/26638#comment:11> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
