The reason I'm suggesting it is abandoned is because I have been trying to get in touch with the port owner (mnick), regarding ticket #33222 (sidebar patch is broken). Even though we have provided a solution we have heard nothing from the maintainer, not even after direct mail to his macports address. Two months have gone after we first contacted him so I'd say it would be for the best to change to another maintainer. I could voulonteer if you need people. Been using mutt for 10 years and would say I have good knowledge about the extra patchsets in the port.
