Upgrade of the port is complicated by the fact that the ISP hosting the download site refuses to allow download access for curl and similar agents. Common web browsers work fine. This causes MacPorts fetches to fail. The developer is aware of the problem and has talked to the ISP but no improvement as yet. FWIW, telling curl to use a generic agent name such as "Mozilla-4.0" bypasses the problem.
