#35598: p5-bioperl no longer available? ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Reporter: tmcmahon@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: request | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2 Keywords: bioperl | Port: p5-bioperl ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Hi, Just wondering why the p5-bioperl port is not longer available? I found ticket #26468 but it didn't answer my question. Maybe I am too much of a neophyte, but I am not sure how to use the posted portfile to open a port. thanks, and sorry if this is a stupid question, trina -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/35598> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

#35598: p5-bioperl no longer available? -------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- Reporter: tmcmahon@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: request | Status: closed Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2 Resolution: invalid | Keywords: Port: p5-bioperl | -------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- Comment(by ryandesign@…): p5-bioperl has never been available in MacPorts; #26468 has never been resolved. If it were a simple matter of just downloading the portfile attached to the ticket, you could do that. Unfortunately it's not that simple. The portfile attached there needs to be updated for changes that have occurred in the perl5 portgroup since then, and also the port depends on several other ports which have not yet been committed either, for which tickets have been filed, several of which have questions in the comments which have not yet been answered. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/35598#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
