Forgot to mention: I'd be happy to take over maintainership of this port. Also, from my checks, there are no dependencies on this port currently. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/14100#comment:1> MacPorts </projects/macports> Ports system for Mac OS

How hard would it be to build the python module(s) as variants? Are you sure the cracklib-words dictionary isn't a run depends too? Is the pw_dict.* losless? -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/14100#comment:3> MacPorts </projects/macports> Ports system for Mac OS

The cracklib-words dictionary, on the other hand, isn't a run depends as well because it is compressed lossless into the pw_dict files. Once those files are built (according to the author) it shouldn't require the dictionaries anymore. I will do some additional testing to verify this on my own later on during the week. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/14100#comment:4> MacPorts </projects/macports> Ports system for Mac OS
