#52520: SDRplay: install_name_tool: object: libmirsdrapi-rsp.dylib malformed object (unknown load command 9) ---------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: ryandesign@… | Owner: michaelld@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.4 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: SDRplay | ---------------------------+------------------------- Comment (by ryandesign@…): Since you're installing a precompiled library, it may be the case that the precompiled library was compiled for a `MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET` later than 10.6. If that's the case, you should make the port fail early (pre- extract) on unsupported Mac OS X versions. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/52520#comment:1> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for the Mac operating system

Hmm ... do you know how I find out the TARGET? There's nothing obvious in the library itself that jumps out to me ("nm -a ... | more"). -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/52520#comment:2> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for the Mac operating system

It appears MacPorts was successful in creating packages for 10.7 and later but I don't know if they work. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/52520#comment:3> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for the Mac operating system

OK. I had a few customers wanting SDRplay. I'll ping them to see what OS they use. Maybe one of them has an older OS and can verify functionality. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/52520#comment:4> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for the Mac operating system
#52520: SDRplay: install_name_tool: object: libmirsdrapi-rsp.dylib malformed object (unknown load command 9) ---------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: ryandesign@… | Owner: michaelld@… Type: defect | Status: closed Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.4 Resolution: fixed | Keywords: Port: SDRplay | ---------------------------+------------------------- Changes (by michaelld@…): * status: new => closed * resolution: => fixed Comment: I tweaked the install_name_tool usage in r153630. Biggest question is whether any tweaks are needed for 10.8 or 10.9, but at least the major issues for 10.6 should be resolved. I'm going to go ahead and close out this ticket as fixed. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/52520#comment:5> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for the Mac operating system
