I can confirm that these files (from the tarball, and the new patch- setup.py) provide working python25 on Darwin 8 & 9, using either +Framework or not. Please also note that the _OSA module will not compile or install on Darwin 9, since Apple removed the "debug" commands from the OSA Framework.
