I believe you! It's just that qt3 is old, and if a version with qt4 exists, we prefer using that than qt3. We would prefer using the qt4 version too, but it is just not ready yet/still in development.

EDIT: oh, and I just remembered that qt3 conflicts with qt4. So a potential user must uninstall all the applications that use qt4 in order to use this. I mean, qt4 was released 8 years ago. Latest release of klusters was 1 and a half year ago. Is this software still actively developed? Well, it is maintained mostly by scientists. Therefore a release cycle of a few years is somewhat normal. From what I have heard it is still in active development though.
