#48705: encfs corrupt/lost files on high IO --------------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: kuznetsov.alexey@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Keywords: encfs | Port: --------------------------------+-------------------------------- Hello! I'm using encfs on Mac Yosimite 10.10.5 with my private folder. This folder includes a lot of small files (source code). And working with eclipse or git on encrupted folder can cause a file lost/lock/corrupt file system. This bug easy to reproduce. Just create encfs folder and clone a source tree into it. You will get a few errros, then removing a folder cause another on encfs space. # git clone http://github.com/golang/go gg It may be an encfs issue itself, and have nothing to do with macports. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48705> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

Did the problem occur with the [wiki:howto/InstallingOlderPort previous versions] of boost and encfs? Maybe [ticket:47715 updating encfs] would help. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48705#comment:1> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

Wait 30 minutes, then run "sudo port selfupdate" and "sudo port upgrade outdated". Did that help? If so, great, we can close the ticket. But if not, then do please try downgrading to boost @1.58.0 and encfs @1.7.5-135_2 and then, whether or not that helps, report the problem to the developers of encfs. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48705#comment:2> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

I just reported it. It is not boost related for sure. Last update did fix the problem, seems like 1.8.1 has a fix for it.
