[MacPorts] #20046: pcre++ rename to pcrexx for consistency and safety
#20046: pcre++ rename to pcrexx for consistency and safety ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: blb@… | Owner: gwright@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.7.1 Keywords: | Port: pcre++ ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Other C++-type ports with ++ in the names have those plus signs replaced by '''x''' (eg [browser:trunk/dports/devel/libsigcxx2/Portfile libsigcxx2], [browser:trunk/dports/textproc/libxmlxx2/Portfile libxmlxx2]) to avoid potential issues with a standard regex character. It would appear it has no dependents, once I escaped the pluses in {{{port echo depends:pcre\\+\\+}}} so I'm guessing it shouldn't be too painful. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20046> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

The pcre++ port is not yet deleted, I'll check to make certain again that there are no dependencies. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20046#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

Why was the port was deleted without a replaced_by? The ticket even said that should have been done. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/20046#comment:5> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
