Re: [MacPorts] #14486: PATCH: cyrus-sasl2 ldap variant
#14486: PATCH: cyrus-sasl2 ldap variant --------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: brandon@… | Owner: jmpp@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.6.0 Resolution: | Keywords: variant ldap Port: cyrus-sasl2 | --------------------------+-------------------------- Comment (by egall@…): So it is possible to add ldap support to it with just a configure flag, and without any additional dependencies? I was kind of expecting that openldap would be added as a dependency, but that would lead to a circular dependency, as openldap depends on cyrus-sasl2 itself... (I was thinking of actually doing things the other way around and making SASL support in openldap a variant, instead of just enabling it by default. That would be one way to avoid a possible circular dependency. The other way to deal with it would be to just roll with it, as the port for dbus does with its `+test` variant.) -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/14486#comment:4> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
