[MacPorts] #37811: news/slrn 0.9.9p1 exhibits connection drops to servers
#37811: news/slrn 0.9.9p1 exhibits connection drops to servers ---------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: clint.olsen@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2 Keywords: slrn | Port: news/slrn ---------------------------+-------------------------------- I was having difficulty maintaining connections to news.supernews.com with this version of slrn. I noticed there's a new version of slrn (1.0.1) that was released 12/2012. I tried that, and it seems to work fine. I think just refreshing the port might do the trick. Example: Run slrn and try to subscribe to comp.text.tex. Try to download all the current articles. It works for awhile and then: slrn fatal error: Server connection to news.supernews.com lost. Cannot recover. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/37811> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
