[MacPorts] #46824: easytag 2.2.6 Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display
#46824: easytag 2.2.6 Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display ------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: loganrah@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Keywords: | Port: ------------------------+-------------------------------- Just clean installed Yosemite (10.10.2) with Xcode 6.1.1 Installed easytag port and there were no problems with the install (at least none I could see from the terminal output). But when I try to start easytag I get a blank line and then the error "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:" I don't know if this is a more general error since easytag is the only port I currently have installed, since I essentially installed macports (and therefore Xcode) just to use easytag (its the best tagging program I've ever used). I have tried running xinit as suggested in one of the Mavericks bugs but this just gives me the error XFree86_VT property unexpectedly has 0 items instead of 1 and then hangs. I'm comfortable using a terminal but I can't say I know a huge amount about how OS X and macports work (I know a little bit about linux) so please fully explain anything I need to do. Thanks in advance for the help. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/46824> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
