#20119: php5: update to 5.3.0 ------------------------------------------+--------------------------------- Reporter: simon+macports@… | Owner: ryandesign@… Type: update | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: Keywords: | Port: php5 ------------------------------------------+--------------------------------- Comment(by ryandesign@…): Hooray! They've been working on 5.3.0 a long time. Glad it's final now. The attached diff seems to be mostly the difference between php5 and php5-devel. While I will need to adopt changes from php5-devel into php5, the master_sites and livecheck changes should not be adopted by php5. I also want to deal with the fastcgi issue (fastcgi is now always built; we don't need to configure and build a second time) and the sockets variant issue (the sockets feature was moved to pecl) in php5-devel before updating php5 to 5.3.0 and adopting these changes. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20119#comment:5> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

This turns out not to be true. I [http://marc.info/?l=php- internals&m=124669326803150&w=2 misunderstood] the documentation. So no major changes are required to how we're handling fastcgi. I made minor changes in r53517. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20119#comment:12> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

and the sockets variant issue (the sockets feature was moved to pecl)
They appear to have changed their minds on this. The sockets feature still exists in 5.3. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20119#comment:13> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
