After running port selfupdate and port upgrade outdated, the system was not successfully updated. Instead an error was presented regarding one of the packages and a message linking to this site was shown: https://trac.macports.org/wiki/LibcxxOnOlderSystems . I accessed the site after which I followed the instructions to install libcxx on the system. This did not work. The error message should have mentioned a log file in the /opt/local/var/macports/logs/ directory. Please attach the file to this report in order to allow us to diagnose the problem. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/49697#comment:1> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

libc++ is already part of OS X 10.8. The instructions do not say to install it. Read the instructions again... -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/49697#comment:3> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
