Did you read and apply the [wiki:FAQ#checksums FAQ on checksum errors]?
Yes, several times. However cleaning and attempting to reinstall yields the same problem, i.e. that the server just gives me a html file instead of the source. I am fairly sure that the error is on the side of the Georgia Tech mirror, not my machine. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/33663#comment:6> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

I can checksum this tarball using the other servers MacPorts automagically picks for me. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/33663#comment:7> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

If {{{port selfupdate}}} isn't working for you you need to go to the macports-users mailing list -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/33663#comment:9> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

Fixed my issue. I think the secret sauce was that i was only doing {{{port clean gstreamer}}} rather than {{{port clean --all gstreamer}}} Thanks for the help! -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/33663#comment:10> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
