[MacPorts] #29094: ipe @7.0.14 -error shell command failed
#29094: ipe @7.0.14 -error shell command failed ----------------------------------------+----------------------------------- Reporter: marie.albenque@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.9.2 Keywords: ipe snow leopard | Port: ipe ----------------------------------------+----------------------------------- I tried to install the new version of ipe 7.0 on snow leopard but it does not work (see log). I installed qt4 and have xquartz 2.6.1 installed. On some posts, I saw that having ipe 6 previously installed can cause some problems. So i (tried to) removed everything from ipe 6 but it still does not compile. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/29094> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

Perhaps it came from a manually-installed ipe. Whatever the case, please remove it and any related files. If you had manually installed qt4 outside of MacPorts, please remove that as well. Ports that need qt4 will use the qt4-mac port. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/29094#comment:1> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

Thanks very much. For a next time, a stupid question : how can i be sure that I delete every pieces of a program ? I thought I did . -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/29094#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

Unfortunately that's not an easy question to answer in the general case. Most software does not come with an uninstaller. (That's one of the reasons why it's nice to use MacPorts to install software: MacPorts can just as easily uninstall the software it has installed.) If you're not sure what files came with a piece of software, as its developers. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/29094#comment:4> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
