After reading the log file it seems like the problem is with the checksum of libxml2. I have installed gcc49 (using {{{sudo port install gcc49}}}) and attempted several times to install mpish-gcc49 (using {{{sudo port install mpich- gcc49}}}) . The latter was always followed by the following error: {{{ Error: org.macports.checksum for port libxml2 returned: libxml2-2.9.2.tar.gz does not exist in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/libxml2 }}} I have also attached the libxml2 log file, if it is of any help. I have also looked at the FAQ and uninstalled the gcc49 port and restarted the process, and also updated MacPort ({{{sudo port self update}}}), and tried {{{sudo port clean --dist mpish-gcc49}}}. I hope I provided all the necessary information, as I was not able to find any help online. Looking forward to your reply.
