[MacPorts] #20340: ghc-devel fails to fetch
#20340: ghc-devel fails to fetch ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: gale@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.7.1 Keywords: | Port: ghc-devel ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Mac OS X 10.4.11 Intel, MacPorts 1.7.1 {{{ $ sudo port install ghc-devel ---> Fetching ghc-devel Error: Target org.macports.fetch returned: invalid command name "cd" Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. $ }}} This port should either be fixed and updated, see #14462, or removed from MacPorts. Is anyone actually using this? It could be a nice convenience, but people who want to use GHC HEAD could just build it manually like on other platforms. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20340> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS

#20340: ghc-devel fails to fetch ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: gale@… | Owner: gwright@… Type: defect | Status: assigned Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.7.1 Keywords: | Port: ghc-devel ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Changes (by gwright@…): * status: new => assigned Comment: I will probably remove it unless fetching is straightened out upstream. When ghc moved the core development to git, it was necessary use both git and darcs to fetch the compiler and core libraries. This was unworkable. ghc is may be moving back to darcs, which would make resuscitation of ghc- devel possible. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/20340#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
