[MacPorts] #25711: Leopard installer reports false space usage number
#25711: Leopard installer reports false space usage number ----------------------------------------------+----------------------------- Reporter: cxjohnson@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Low | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.9.1 Keywords: installer, package, GUI, Leopard | Port: ----------------------------------------------+----------------------------- The package installer GUI says the install will take something like 132KB (yes, kilobytes, the exact number is lost to my memory but roughly of that magnitude). Yet the actual install takes about 65MB! I think I know why, but it sure would be nice if that first number were not so misleading, or if there were text elsewhere in the GUI saying that more files would be installed and what the real size would approximately be. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/25711> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
