It's been months that I've been working on concurrent Qt4 and Qt5 ports, and only now I catch wind there has been previous discussion to install it *elsewhere* than I have been proposing, and then only because something gets committed without even taking up the slighest detail with me? Just a few of the remarks I'd have made: - no need to call the installation directory qt5-mac . The whole distinction qtN-mac vs qtN-somethingElse has become moot now that Qt moved to the QPA plugin approach and does not officially support non-native mode on OS X - depending on PulseAudio is *not* required for anything (that I know of), not anymore than building the internal phonon stuff. - why add -qml-debug - probably more but I'm on a clock right now -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/44193#comment:31> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
