However, on MacPorts, an older version is available. Not sure who maintains the macports for this package. Since I use iverilog, I went ahead and created a PortFile for the new version. I'm attaching it here. Hopefully, this can make its way into the macports repository. I've tested this on my local machine only (Mac OSX Leopard 1.5.6) using macports 1.7.10. Iverilog built right out of the box without any trouble. I'm not an expert in MacPorts so if any further testing is necessary, it should be done.
