[MacPorts] #37869: latex: command not found
#37869: latex: command not found ------------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: angliski_jigit@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2 Keywords: latex | Port: ------------------------------+-------------------------------- Hi All A few months ago I installed: [[BR]] =============================[[BR]] '''texlive-latex [[BR]] texlive-latex-extra [[BR]] texlive-latex-recommended[[BR]]''' =============================[[BR]] ... and all their dependencies using Macports. About 2 weeks ago, it suddenly stopped working (shell: '''latex: command not found'''). I spent ages uninstalling and reinstalling stuff and finally got it working again. If I recall correctly, I found a hack somehwere on the web that seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately, the same thing suddenly started happening again today! I really want to get to the root of the problem. My guess is it's something to do with linking errors. When I ran:[[BR]] =============================[[BR]] '''sudo port upgrade outdated[[BR]]''' =============================[[BR]] ... I got LOTS of warning messages: =============================[[BR]] '''---> Computing dependencies for libpng[[BR]] ---> Fetching archive for libpng[[BR]] ---> Attempting to fetch libpng-1.5.14_0.darwin_11.x86_64.tbz2 from http://lil.fr.packages.macports.org/libpng [[BR]] ---> Attempting to fetch libpng-1.5.14_0.darwin_11.x86_64.tbz2.rmd160 from http://lil.fr.packages.macports.org/libpng [[BR]] ---> Installing libpng @1.5.14_0[[BR]] ---> Cleaning libpng[[BR]] ---> Computing dependencies for libpng[[BR]] ---> Deactivating libpng @1.5.13_0[[BR]] ---> Cleaning libpng[[BR]] ---> Activating libpng @1.5.14_0[[BR]] ---> Cleaning libpng[[BR]] ---> Updating database of binaries: 100.0%[[BR]] ---> Scanning binaries for linking errors: 60.8%[[BR]] Warning: Error parsing file /opt/local/bin/unzip-mem: Error opening or reading file[[BR]] ---> Scanning binaries for linking errors: 60.9%[[BR]] Warning: Error parsing file /opt/local/bin/unzzip: Error opening or reading file[[BR]] ''' ...
