"-nostdlib" changed meaning over the years. Here's a patch, on top of the last one, which should do the trick. It also works as expected with MacPorts' gcc 4.5 and 4.7, and MacPorts clang 2.9, 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2. So, I think this last change is the way to go.
