There are much more recent versions than 2012! Note: I understand from an IRC conversation with "lonic" that they aren't properly tagging their releases in GitHub. While r131697 did change the `github.setup` line, the commit ID was left intact, so the port is still in its stale 2012 state. I'll look into updating to a newer development version. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/47387#comment:7> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
#47387: tidy: update to 4.9.24 -----------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: macports_org@… | Owner: ryandesign@… Type: update | Status: assigned Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Resolution: | Keywords: haspatch Port: tidy | -----------------------------+-------------------------- Changes (by ryandesign@…): * keywords: => haspatch Comment: Not sure when it changed, but compared with the 2012 version we currently have in MacPorts, in the current 4.9.24 version, the program name has changed from `tidy` to `tidy5` and the library name has changed from `libtidy` to `libtidy5`. We have several ports declaring dependencies on the tidy port. I suspect they may need to be updated for these changes. I'll attach my portfile update for tidy so far but won't commit it until I've tested and fixed ths dependents. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/47387#comment:8> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

Yo may want to hold off for a release. That MAY be just for testing/beta purposes -- I believe I saw discussion on that site that the program would remain "tidy". -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/47387#comment:9> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

I can edit the CMakeLists.txt to change the variable from `tidy5` back to `tidy`. Now I just need to test other ports to make sure they still work with this new version of tidy. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/47387#comment:11> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
