[MacPorts] #48508: gobject-introspection shouldn't require Python 2
#48508: gobject-introspection shouldn't require Python 2 -------------------------+----------------------------------- Reporter: tla@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Keywords: | Port: gobject-introspection -------------------------+----------------------------------- At the moment, gobject-introspection requires Python 2 to build (via py27-mako). There is as far as I can tell no good reason for this - it works fine with py34-mako too. It would be good to have a port variant for python 3, and perhaps even better to make it the default. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48508> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

However, there have recently been some python3 commits upstream in the unstable branch and I am testing them now. I agree it would be nice to upgrade to python3 so will leave this ticket open and make the necessary changes when possible. Thanks for the suggestion. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/48508#comment:2> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
