In the ${name}-devel subport, is there a specific reason why you use "`fetch.type git`"? Usually that's unnecessary and undesirable. I see you've made +nginx the default, but it should not be if the user has requested +apache instead. If there is, maybe a good addition to the guide and mark it as a preferred way. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/44822#comment:2> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

You can specify any commit-ish, including the full 40-digit SHA1. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/44822#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X

There is currently no documentation about the github portgroup at all in the guide, however there is extensive documentation in comments in the [browser:trunk/dports/_resources/port1.0/group/github-1.0.tcl portgroup file itself]. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/44822#comment:4> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
