#14811: apple-gcc33 wont compile -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: ak@axet.ru | Owner: mww@macports.org Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Normal | Milestone: Port Bugs Component: ports | Version: 1.6.0 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: | -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Changes (by ryandesign@macports.org): * cc: ryandesign@macports.org (added) Comment: I see from the output above that you're using gcc-4.0 to compile (which is expected on Leopard, and on Tiger). I remember hearing it's problematic and not supported to compile an earlier version of gcc with a later version of gcc. Basically, the gcc3* ports are old and there should be no need for them anymore. Why are you trying to build them? -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/14811#comment:3> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
