It always looks for gfortran. My system: OSX Yosemite (10.10.2). XCode (6.1.1) -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/46822> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
#46822: netcdf-fortran @4.2 using ifort as fortran compiler -------------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: bingzhang.chen@… | Owner: macports-tickets@… Type: enhancement | Status: closed Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 2.3.3 Resolution: invalid | Keywords: Port: | -------------------------------+-------------------------------- Changes (by sean@…): * status: new => closed * resolution: => invalid Comment: Simply put, you cannot. `ifort` is not available from Intel for inclusion in MacPorts so, by design, it can't be used. You have a few options if you really want to this: * create a local port copy of `netcdf-fortran` and explicitly set the location to `ifort` * convince Intel to offer an open version of `ifort` to include with MacPorts -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/46822#comment:1> MacPorts <https://www.macports.org/> Ports system for OS X
