The patch also addresses: * #36135 (enhancement to support emacs-app) * #38321 (add variant for old bitmap formats) * #38365 (remove +tutorial option and dependency on texlive) I would be grateful for any kind of feedback before committing this, in particular about names in #38321. (I closed #35879 for now because the only person who reported the problem never responded to the patch. I'm willing to reopen and fix it, but only if someone is willing to test.) Disclaimer: I'm currently experiencing some problems on my machine (outdated and slightly broken macports) and it might take a while until all packages get up to date, so I didn't test the patch yet.
