#22228: nvi says "page sizes must be a power-of-2" -----------------------------------------+---------------------------------- Reporter: helbig.wolfgang@… | Owner: toby@… Type: defect | Status: reopened Priority: Normal | Milestone: Component: ports | Version: 1.8.1 Resolution: | Keywords: Port: nvi | -----------------------------------------+---------------------------------- Changes (by qbarnes@…): * status: closed => reopened * resolution: wontfix => Comment: The message comes from db4. Nvi is requesting a non-power of 2 page size with its call to db->set_pagesize(). The message comes out on OSX as well as Linux. I don't know why NetBSD doesn't get the same message. I haven't looked. I developed a fix that works to address this issue on both Linux and OSX. I uploaded a patch for Macports nvi that I installed and tested. Seems to work fine. I wish I understood the code better, but the fix does solve the problem and I think doesn't introduce any other side effects or additional issues. Let me know if there's any problems applying or using it. -- Ticket URL: <http://trac.macports.org/ticket/22228#comment:4> MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/> Ports system for Mac OS
